The party leader joined many Nigerians and lovers of Education to lend in his voice to congratulate Prof Dozie, on his recent appointment as the 9th Substantive Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
Prof. Iyke Dozie, as he is fondly called, who has just been announced the new substantive VC of one of Nigeria’s foremost institutions of tertiary education is the former Vice Chancellor of Kingsley Ozumba mbadiwe University (KOMU), Ogboko.
Speaking to journalists, as he joined the Professor, on arrival to the University Senate building, for the presentation of his appointment letter, the Ahiazu born politician, Ogu Chukwudi, maintained that the transformative ideas of Prof. Iyke Dozie as Vice Chancellor of KOMU made the young Imo State owned University gain so many courses accreditations, including Nursing and Law, during his five years tenure.
Hon. Ogu who was full of excitement stated that with the appointment of his kinsman to the Ivory Tower of FUTO, Nigeria has found not just a Vice Chancellor, but an erudite son of the soil whose public health brilliance will now cure the university’s future.
Hon. Ogu stated that with his appointment as Vice Chancellor, Prof. brings to FUTO a blend of academic excellence and public health expertise, spanning decades, that promises to reposition the institution for global relevance.
He also noted that for the people of Ahiazu, it is not just a personal triumph, but a collective validation that excellence, when nurtured at home, can shape national destiny.
“FUTO’s new chapter begins, and history will record how well it is written.” He said.
