Professor Isidore Diala has been appointed a Deputy Vice Chancellor at the of Imo State University, Owerri.
Isidore Diala is a Professor of African Literature, in the Department of English and Literary Studies, at Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria.
Educated at the Imo State University, Etiti, Nigeria (now, Abia State University, Uturu), and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, he has spent varying periods of research fellowships at the Nordic African Institute in Uppsala, Sweden, the University of Cambridge and the University of London both in the United Kingdom, and in Germany.
Diala was a Humboldt research fellow and Visiting Professor in the Department of English, Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany.
Diala has published award winning Drama and Poetry and LNG Prize winning Literary Essay.
Diala hails from Okwu, Ikeduru, Imo State.
