Earlier this week, precisely, on 21st of June, 2017, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor in his capacity as Chairman House committee on Healthcare services in the Federal House of Representatives, held an investigative public Hearing, sequel to His motion on the urgent need to investigate the activities of Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and their compliance to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Regulations and as well as issues bothering on the inhuman treatments given to NHIS Enrollees.
The public to a very large extent answered the questions that the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) had been asking all long and it has brought tremendous relief the leadership of trade union, because health is wealth.
The hearing was well attended by stakeholders in labour and health sector.
