In this first phase of the school Library program, the Senator donated books and shelves worth millions of naira to school Libraries in 10 primary schools in Okigwe Zone; 5 from each federal constituency.
The Senator has already put structures on ground to enable him assess the progress of the program every 3months and donate more books and shelves.
While addressing the teachers, school heads as well as IMSUBEB presentatives, Senator Ibezim encouraged them to take the Library project serious and guard them jealously, to enable them achieve the aim for which it was established.
“Frankly speaking, Building a nation starts from the very beginning”, he said, and leaders are found among readers.
He also called on well meaning citizens of Imo state in general and Okigwe zone, in particular to key into the school Library program and equip as many libraries as possible, pointing out that government alone cannot do everything at once.
