It was another joyous event as over 150 women of Ntu auto Community in Ngor-Okpala LGA received Christmas packages from the Apex traditional title holder in their community and a Special Adviser on Special Duties to governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu (KSM).

The uncomon event was held on Sunday 19th December 2021 at the Country home of Chief Blyden in Uvuru, Ntu autonomous community. Speaking during the event, the benefactor, Sir Blyden stated to the beneficiaries and other invited guest that his exhibition of such act of magnanimity especially in a time like this, is a commitment between him and God almighty, adding that it is another way of Complimenting and promoting the shared prosperity agenda of Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma the governor.He made them to understand that this kind gesture of his was not for political gains neither is it a campaign strategy and promised to do more as the Lord blesses him.

Chief Amajirionwu went further and called on the people of his community to continue giving their support to the administration of gov Uzodimma, he maintained that the administration is living up to the expectations of imolites especially in the arears of infrastructure and human capital development.

The colourful event had in attendance some leaders of the community and few friends of the Blyden Amajirionwu’s family, such as Mr Romanus Nworgu, President General of Ntu autonomous Community, Mr Aloysius Amadi Jp, Hon Jude Enwereuzo, Mr Peter Etoh, Mr Chidi Akalonu, Chief Chi Nwosu, Mr Emmanuel Nkwocha, Hon Alex Ekwuluo, Comr James Emeahu among many others.

The president of a social club, Unique brothers club Mr Uche Ibeto and Barr Charles Nkwocha Jnr, a member of the club who spoke to some newsmen shortly after the event,said they had come to identify with Okenze Amajirionwu because he is the patron of their club, they described him as an age long humanitarian who is known for his act of magnanimity especially to the less fortunate and downtrodden in the society, they prayed God to always bless him in all his life endeavors.

In the voice of the PG of Ntu Community, while also speaking to news men shortly after the event made it clear that Okenze Blyden has been outstanding with meaningful contributions towards the development and well-being of the Community, speaking further he described Chief Blyden to be more than an illustrious son of Ntu and called on other sons of Ntu to emulate his acts of kindness and love to his people.

A high point of the event was when they were joined by the mother of Sir Blyden, Hon Chief (Mrs) Theresa Amajirionwu as the women couldn’t hide their joy whilst siting the Golden Mother. It is also worthy to note that this is the second phase of the Blyden Amajirionwu 2021 Empowerment Foundation’s program that kicked started on 20th November 2021.
