The special convention for Presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is ongoing, as Nigerian wait anxiously for the winner to emerge.
It is an election that has set even bookmakers on the edge, as there is no clue as to the favourite to the win the election, at press time.
Meanwhile, the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, who is also the convention committee chairman spoke to channels TV crew, from the sidelines of the convention and assured that the process has been transparent and hitch free.
According to him: “Accreditation was well done, you can see how people voted without hitches.”
Asked why the party didn’t settle for a consensus candidate he sadi “No where in the world is power given you have to work for it. We know we deserve it and we know we have bright minds but we have to work for it and at the end of the Day it’s God that will decide. In 2003 and 2007 I had a gubernatorial outing but it came to past in 2019.”
meanwhile, counting of ballot is expected to be completed before 11:00 am and a winner will be announced.
