Involvement of Public, Private Sector Operators Will Reduce Medical Travels Abroad -FG

From what the federal government is putting in place for improvement in the health sector and considering support the private investors are enjoying in the industry, limit to frequent medical movement outside the country, shall be observed.

This assertion came from Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah, Minister of State for Education, who represented the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari at the Formal Commissioning of Skipper Eye-Q 3rd Hospital in Abuja, held on 20th December, 2022.

Opiah who commissioned the Skipper Eye-Q 3rd Hospital, in Asokoro area of Abuja, on behalf of President Buhari, opined that based on the support, especially, the incentive public and private sector operators are getting, patients in Nigeria suffering different speciality ailment will receive quality medication attention in the country.

The minister who was pleased to be part of the commissioning of the health facility as representative of President Buhari highlighted on the importance of eyes to the human body which he added which need serious care and protection. “They are the window of the body and they have a lot of function. Good vision contributes to healthy brain function, better cognitive and psychomotor for functions and the overall quality of life”

According to him, the establishment of the state-of-the-art healthcare outfit by the Skipper Eye-Q 3rd Hospital, a private player in the industry, will join already established private players in the industry to reduce influx of those seeking medical attention outside the country.

The Minister of State for Education, who represented the President, joined by other top government officials, including the Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, and Inspector General of Police not only commissioned the office but also took a look at the facility put in place for services
