A Commissioner representing Oru East Local Government Area, in the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, ISOPADEC, Hon. Nkenna Nzeruo has extended a warm ‘Gratitude’ message to the State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for graciously approving community projects across the oil producing areas of Imo.

The Governor was also commended for his show of concern towards the welfare of Imolites, through his people oriented policies and programs.

Speaking to Journalists, Tuesday June 22, 2021, while flagging off the many projects to be executed across the Wards in Oru East LGA by ISOPADEC, Hon. Nzeruo described the Governor as a worthy Leader who matches his words with action.

He recalled that at inception of the 3R administration of Governor Uzodinma, he promised to make judicious use of funds realized and meant for the development of the Oil producing areas involved.

Hence, in fulfilment of that, the Governor approved that variety of projects to be constructed and reinvigorated for public use.

Hon Nkenna Nzeruo who represented Oru East State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly (2015-2019) appreciated the Governor for living up to expectations.

The erstwhile parliamentarian disclosed that the category of projects approved for construction ranges from School blocks, health facilities, roads, among others, and to be replicated not only in Oru East LGA, but also in Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta LGAs.

Nzeruo submitted that such gesture could only be a vision and brain child of a selfless Leader, with the master touch of quality and sustainability.

The Oru East ISOPADEC representative however enjoined the public especially the community leaders and youths to safeguard any project cited in their locality towards ensuring that it serves the purpose of its construction.

For some of the Wards in ISOPADEC areas whose own projects have been earlier captured but not yet flagged off, Hon. Nzeruo assured that sooner, theirs would be approved and Flagged off, perhaps together with the Road projects and work to commence as well.

More so, Hon. Nzeruo seized the opportunity to extol the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie for queuing behind the initiatives of the State Government.

He said the Managing Director from time has never deviated in the dictates of leadership of the Commission expected of him.

According to Nzeruo, “I commend the MD for awarding the contracts effectively to competent hands, in accordance to the Governor’s directives. That’s part of the success story”.

For the Management, Board and Staff of the Commission, the soft spoken politician charged all hands to be on deck, while reiterating that non of the line up of programs of the commission would be left untouched.

Under Primary Schools: Construction of six classrooms block at Ozuh Community Primary School Omuma; Construction of six classrooms block at Community Primary
School, Omuma; Construction of six classrooms block at Abia Central School,
Omuma; Construction of six classrooms block at Okwu Owere Omuma; Construction of six classrooms block at Amiri Primary School, Amiri; Construction of six classrooms block at Urah Primary School, Ihitte/Akata.

Others are; Construction of six classrooms block at St Paul’s Primary School, lsieke, Awo-Omamma; Construction of six classrooms block at Pioneer Primary School, Awo-Omamma; Construction of six classrooms block at Okwuorji Primary School, Awo-Omamma.

Recently awarded Hospital and Health Centers Proiect in Oru-East LGA are; Rehabilitation of General Hospital, Awo-Omamma; Perimeter Fencing/General renovation of Amagu Health Center; Completion of Akuma Health Center; and, Rehabilitation of Umuhu Omuma Health Center all in Oru-East.
