Just In: Microsoft Floats First Africa Office in Nigeria

Multi-billion dollar American company, Microsoft, will today open its first African Development Center in Nigeria where geniuses will provide software engineering solutions to the world and Africa, in a $100m investment, alongside Kenya. The hub in Lagos will be the first in Africa.

The Nigerian Government is in partnership with the tech giant to accelerate Nigeria’s certain advance towards a more digital economy in line with the Economic Sustainability Plan.

The intent is to upskill 5 million Nigerians through increased internet access over the next three years in various digital skills which will increase both employability and entrepreneurship.
