Umuanunu-Nsu Health Centre: Ehime-Mbano Agog As Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor Begins Commissioning of His Projects in Okigwe South

Ehime-Mbano LGA came alive again, as Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor commissions the Umuanunu-Nsu Health Centre, with Doctor’s quarters, which he facilitated.

This is coming a few days after he had done a remarkable empowerment program for Ehime-Mbano Youths, which, according to him, will still continue, even as more projects are being commissioned not just in health Sector but also School buildings and Civic Centers, just to mention a few.

Hon. Chike Okafor, the member representing Ehime-Mbano, Ihitte Uboma and Obowo in the federal house of representatives, noted that the brand new Health Centre is equipped with modern health facilities, befitting of a standard health centre that can be found anywhere in the country.

He acknowledged the support of the Dr. Faisal Shuaibu led National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and also Dr. Nneka Onwu, a daughter of the soil, who is a Director in the agency.

Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor paid glowing tribute to the Imo State Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma, for his commitment to the health sector which is evident in the ongoing revitalisation of Health Centres in every ward, across the State, thus he expressed confidence in handing over the project to competent hands like the Executive Secretary of Imo State Primary Healthcare Agency, Rev. Sister Maria Johannes and the Mrs. Stella Okoro, State Coordinator NPHCDA.

Hon. Chike Okafor the community to protect the facility at all costs. All the community leaders who spoke in the occasion such as the president general, woman leader, youth leader, amongst others, described the project as not only timely but significantly precious to the people of Umuanunu-Nsu Kingdom, while collectively denoting, that never in the history of the community could they have imagined that a politician will ever remember Umuanunu-Nsu people with a life changing project like a health center.

Speaking further, Hon. Chike Okafor stated that Umuanunu-Nsu health centre, will bring to 28, the number health centres he has facilitated in Okigwe South federal constituency, and that 18 of them started from the scratch to completion. He again, disclosed how happy he was that the results of his hard effort is speaking across the 31 wards in the 3 local government areas of Okigwe South federal constituency, of which Umuanunu-Nsu has now benefitted.

The Health centre is well equipped with modern health facilities and equipment, properly staffed with newly deployed nurses and doctors, and has different health departments ranging from Pharmacy, Labour room, male ward, female ward, nurse office, consulting room, cool chain, dressing room and staff quarters.

Also present at the occasion were Chief Paschal Egeruo, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Onwueyiagba former commissioner for Sports and youth development, a renowned educationist Prof. Emma Nwebo, the President General of Umuanunu-Nsu Autonomous Community, Chief Chijioke Ogbenna, Community woman leader Mrs Emillia Akuchi Ibeh, Director National Primary Health Care Development Agency Mrs Stella Okoro, director of Health Centres Ehime Mbano Mrs Stella Ibechieozo.
